Join OMWD for a Free California-Friendly Landscape Workshop

On Saturday, March 5, local residents can attend a free workshop on how to make their garden “California-Friendly.” This three-hour course will focus on water-use efficiency, using a holistic approach that works with our local climate. It will be held at the Encinitas Community Center, located at 1140 Oakcrest Park Drive in Encinitas.

Topics will include how to select plants best suited for your yard, how to irrigate efficiently, and how to capitalize on the region’s limited rainfall. Common landscaping issues will be addressed and participants will be taught how to think about their landscapes from the soil up. A certified trainer will be provided by Green Gardens Group.

Attendance is free and open to the public, although reservations are required. For more information or to register for the workshop, visit our event page or call 760-632-4641.

This workshop is provided through a partnership between Olivenhain Municipal Water District, San Dieguito Water District, Santa Fe Irrigation District, San Diego County Water Authority, and Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.
