Public Records Act & SB 272

Public Records Act

Californians have the right under the California Public Records Act and the California Constitution to access public information maintained by local and state government agencies. OMWD has established guidelines to ensure that both employees and members of the public fully understand and are afforded the opportunity to use their right to inspect and obtain copies of public records.

26 Public Records Requests Received by OMWD (January - December 2023)

The California Public Records Act is a series of laws meant to guarantee that the public has access to public records of governmental bodies in California. View the California Public Records Act at Government Code §7920-7931.

To make a public records request, please contact Olivenhain Municipal Water District’s Records & Contracts Coordinator.
