Free Rain Harvesting Workshop January 24
Join us for a free workshop on the benefits of using rain barrels to collect rainwater. The class is being held on January 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at OMWD headquarters, located at 1966 Olivenhain Road in Encinitas.

The workshop will cover why you should harvest rainwater and what type of collection system might work best for your home. We’ll also discuss how to maintain a rain collection system and how to apply for applicable rebates. After a presentation, an optional tour of OMWD’s California-Friendly Demonstration Garden will be provided, which features a rain barrel and cistern.

Free Public Tours
Our next tour is scheduled for January 8, 2026. Registration is required.

Public Tours – Know Before You Go

• Tours begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at approximately noon.
• Reservations must be made by noon on the Monday prior to the scheduled tour date.
• All attendees must complete a tour release form.
• Tours may be canceled or closed depending on the level of participation.
• For safety reasons, tours are not held during inclement weather.
• Although this is a shuttled tour, some walking and stair-climbing is required, so we recommend wearing comfortable, closed-toe shoes.
